Life is an experiment. And at Celium, we love to experiment. We love to see things unfold, preferably in an unexpected way. Mycelium is therefore the ideal material to experiment with.

Mycelium is a living organism that does what it wants. We can’t steer it, but we can, to a certain extent, give it a push in the desired direction. Mycelium is still relatively unknown. We are slowly beginning to see the enormous potential of this ‘creature of single-celled threads’.

Thousands of innovators around the world find new properties of – and applications for – mycelium on a daily basis. Celium is happy to contribute to this. We’re doing this completely open; all our knowledge and expertise is freely available. In the new world we are not each other’s competitors, but different players with the same goal: a liveable, healthy planet.
